Guided Reading is used at Twin Lakes Community School as the main reading program.

What is Guided Reading?
- Guided Reading is a teaching approach where each child is givin instruction with reading material at their level.
- The text level is "just right" -not too easy and not too hard. The student is able to read the text successfully with some support from the teacher.


Who does it?
- Staff at the school work together to make sure that eah child recieves small regular group instruction at their reading level.
- The student may be in a Guided Reading group with his/her teacher ot with a variety of other staff members throughout the school year.
- Classroom teachers, tutors, resource teachers, administrators, and other support staff are involved in the Guided Reading Program.
